He located asan agent at Rush City in a tent , on the bank of the brook, using a boxcar for an office . He erected the first frame house in Rock City.Purchase d a farm in 1874 on which he lived for 40 years. Was als o aReal Estate dealer. Is buried in the Swedish Luthern Ce metery in RockCity. (This was credited to the son Robert A rchibald Peers b5143 but Ibelieve this was Archibald Peer s (his father) as Robert was born in1869: Robert Archibal d would only have been 5 years old when hepurchased the fa rm.)
